Pickup works like this: at checkout you choose pickup instead of delivery, you pay for the order online by card in the same secure step, and then you come to the kitchen at 64 Jumeira Street, Jumeirah 1, and collect it yourself. Because nobody is driving out to you, there is no delivery charge on the order, no Dubai area to select from the list and no pin to drop on the map — the only address in the whole order is ours.

That is the short version. The rest of this page is the useful detail: what changes at checkout, why certain plans go better when you carry the food yourself, and how to line the collection up with a specific hour.

How do I place a pickup order?

Exactly the way you place any order on the website, with two fields fewer. You build the order first: a bowl of Soup or Brain Soup, a plate of Trotters, Lamb Cheek or Tongue, a Double Dish for two, The Full Dish, or The Khan's Platter if you are feeding a whole table. Then you tick the extras you want beside it. Extras are a real, separately-orderable row — Capsicum, Onion, Fresh Chili, Pickled Green Chili and an extra Sangak — and they are added because you asked for them, never automatically.

At checkout you choose pickup rather than delivery. You give a name and a phone number, and that is the whole of the account: there is no sign-up and no password. Payment is a secure online card payment at checkout, prepaid, and it is the only method. The kitchen then confirms the order and sets an estimated time, and the order gets its own page you can follow on your phone while you find your keys.

What is different from a delivery order?

Three things, and all three are subtractions. There is no delivery charge. There is no Dubai area to pick from the list. There is no map pin to place — no hunting for your tower among identical towers, no wondering whether the pin landed on the right side of the road. For anyone in a brand-new building or a compound whose gate is not where the map thinks it is, that is the real appeal of collecting: the addressing problem simply evaporates.

Everything else is identical. Same menu, same kitchen, same clock that never stops. We are open every day, all day, from one kitchen — there are no branches — so a collection before dawn is as ordinary here as one in the afternoon.

Why does pickup suit some plans better than delivery?

Because you control the last leg of the journey. An outdoor plan is the clearest case: if breakfast is happening on a mat in the desert or on a beach at sunrise, no rider can help you — but you can collect the food on your way out of the city and take it exactly where you are going. A long drive is the second case: if you are heading to the far end of the emirate, collecting on your route beats sending food to a home you are about to leave.

And the smallest case is often the best one. If you live a short walk from Jumeira Street, walking over and carrying it back is the fastest last leg anyone could arrange for you, and the food goes straight from the kitchen to your table with nothing in between.

Can I schedule the collection for a specific hour?

Yes, and it is the single most useful thing on this page. When you order you can choose a future time instead of as-soon-as-possible — up to about two days ahead — and the kitchen holds the order and starts it for that slot. Payment still happens online at checkout.

Use it. If you know you will be there at seven in the morning, book seven rather than ordering shortly before and hoping. Kalle pache is at its best straight out of the pot, and the whole point of a scheduled pickup is that you and the food arrive at the same moment instead of one waiting for the other. It is just as useful for the weekend host who wants The Khan's Platter — four lamb cheeks, eight trotters, two brains, three tongues, four eyes and five breads — on the table at a fixed hour.

Is the food packed differently because I am collecting it?

No. It is packed the same way it is packed for delivery; nothing about the food or the packing changes because you are the one carrying it out of the door. The only real difference is who does the carrying, and there the ordinary sense applies: keep it flat and level in the car, use the footwell rather than a sloping seat, and go straight home. Broth is broth, and it likes level ground. Bread and pickles travel especially well: Sangak, Special Sangak, Mixed Torshi and Garlic Torshi all arrive exactly as they left.

What about the Kettle of Tea?

The Kettle of Tea is dine-in only, on a pickup order exactly as on a delivery one; it is not packed to travel. If a full kettle on the table is part of the picture in your head, what you actually want is dine-in rather than collection, and a table can be reserved for that. Everything else drinkable is fine to take with you: Tea, Black Tea, Doogh, fresh Lemonade, water and soft drinks.

What if I am running late, or need to change something?

Phone the kitchen on 04 321 8882. That number is the only way to reach us, and it covers both situations. If your timing has slipped, a call is what fixes it. If you need to change anything after you have paid — a dish, the hour, or switching between delivery and collection — that is a call as well, not something you do yourself on the page. Since we are open around the clock, there is never a wrong hour to ring.

What happens if the kitchen cannot fulfil my order?

Occasionally a kitchen has to turn an order down — a cut has sold out, or a rush cannot absorb one more platter. If that happens, the order is refunded automatically to the card that paid for it, and the reason the kitchen gave is shown on your order page. You do not have to chase anyone.

Can I do all of this in Arabic or Farsi?

Yes. The site is trilingual — English, Arabic and Farsi — with a language switcher, and the whole ordering flow follows whichever language you pick: the menu, the checkout and the order page, with the dish names in that language too. The choice is remembered on that device, so you set it once and it stays set.

A short checklist before you set off

  • You chose pickup, not delivery — worth a glance before you pay.
  • Your phone number is correct; it is how the kitchen reaches you.
  • The hour you picked is one you can realistically be at 64 Jumeira Street, Jumeirah 1.
  • Extras are ticked if you want them: Capsicum, Onion, Fresh Chili, Pickled Green Chili, extra Sangak.
  • 04 321 8882 is saved in your phone.

That is genuinely all of it. Choose pickup, pay, pick your hour, and take breakfast home yourself.
