Can I change or cancel my order after I have paid?

There is no cancel button and no edit button on this website, so nothing on your screen will stop or alter an order once it has been placed. If you need to change something — or stop the order altogether — telephone the kitchen on 04 321 8882 straight away, and a person will look at your actual order and tell you what can still be done.

Shaun the Sheep is open 24 hours a day, every day, so there is somebody standing next to the pots to answer whether it is lunchtime or four in the morning. We would rather say all of that plainly than leave you scrolling through your order page hunting for a button that was never built. The rest of this page explains why timing matters so much, what can realistically still be changed at each stage, and what happens in the other direction — when it is the kitchen that cannot fulfil an order.

Why isn't there a cancel button?

Because a button would quietly lie to you. Kalle pache is not built from scratch the moment your order arrives; the heads and trotters have been simmering for many hours before you ever opened the site. When your order lands in the kitchen the work left is assembly: ladling hot soup, portioning trotters, lamb cheek and tongue, wrapping the sangak, sealing everything so it survives the drive, and handing the bag to a rider. On a quiet night that whole sequence moves faster than most people imagine.

Software that says cancelled after your food has already left the kitchen would be a comforting screen and a false one. A phone call reaches a person who can look at your actual order and tell you exactly where it stands: not started, half packed, or already on a motorbike heading for your building. Then the two of you can make a real decision instead of a hopeful one.

How fast do I have to call?

Immediately — and we mean the difference between two minutes and twenty. Two minutes after checkout your order is usually still an untouched ticket, so a change or a cancellation is a small matter and often no trouble at all. Twenty minutes later the bowls may be filled and sealed, the bag may already be on the road, and food that has been portioned for you cannot be un-portioned or tipped back into the pot.

So do not wait until morning, and do not wait to see whether the problem solves itself. Pick up the phone. Even if the answer turns out to be it has already gone, knowing that within a minute is far better than discovering it at your door.

What can actually be changed over the phone?

More than people expect, if you call early enough. The easiest changes are the ones that do not touch what is in the pot: correcting a flat or villa number, fixing a phone number you mistyped, clarifying which entrance is yours so the rider does not circle the block, or asking for no fresh chili. Bigger changes — adding a platter, dropping a bowl, swapping one single for another — depend entirely on how far along the order is, and since everything is paid for online at checkout, anything that moves the total has to be sorted out by the kitchen on that call. They will tell you honestly what is still possible. Nobody there gains anything from sending you food you did not want.

One thing no phone call can do is put a Kettle of Tea into a delivery bag. The kettle is dine-in only — it is poured and drunk at the table — so if you want that, the change to ask about is not the order but the plan: pickup or a table instead.

What should I do in each situation?

You spot a mistake seconds after payingPhone 04 321 8882 nowGood chance the order has not been touched yet, so the kitchen changes or stops it there and then

Wrong address, or the pin is on the wrong buildingPhone with the correct locationIf the rider has not left, the address is corrected; if they have, they can often be redirected — and they phone you on arrival anyway
Wrong phone number typed at checkoutPhone and give the correct numberThe rider needs a working number to call from your door, so this is the one mistake worth fixing first
You want to change a scheduled (pre-order) timePhone any time before the kitchen starts itThe most flexible case by far, because nothing has been ladled or packed yet
The kitchen cannot fulfil your orderNothing — you will be toldThe order is rejected with a reason, the reason appears on your order page, and the card payment is refunded automatically
You are unsure whether a refund is movingCheck your order page, then phone if it is still unclearThe refund goes back to the card that paid; the date it posts is set by your bank

Do I need to log in to an account to cancel?

There is no account to log in to. Ordering here never asks you to create one — no password, no sign-up, no profile — so there is no dashboard with a cancel option hidden inside it, and nobody has to recover a forgotten login at four in the morning. You give a name, a phone number and, for delivery, an address, because the kitchen and the rider genuinely need those three things and nothing more.

What you do have is your order's own page on the site. That is where you follow the order's progress, where the kitchen's confirmation and estimated time appear, and where a reason is shown if the order is ever rejected. It is the first thing to check. It is not, however, a control panel: it shows you what is happening, it does not change what is happening. Changing anything is the phone call.

What if the kitchen cannot make my order?

This is the other direction, and it is the one case handled without you lifting a finger. Occasionally an order cannot be fulfilled — a particular single sells out on a heavy night, or something about the order simply is not possible at that moment. When that happens the order is rejected with a reason, not silently dropped.

Two things then follow automatically. The reason is shown to you on your order page, in plain words, so you are never left guessing what went wrong. And the card payment is refunded automatically — you do not have to ask for it, apply for it, or chase anybody. If you would still like to eat, you are welcome to phone and we will tell you what is coming out of the pots right now, or you can simply order again from the menu.

Where does a refund go, and when?

The refund goes back to the same card that paid for the order. Payment here is prepaid online by card, and the refund follows that same path back — which is also why nobody from this kitchen will ever ring you asking for card details in order to "process a refund". That is not how any of this works.

On timing we will give you the honest answer rather than the comforting one. We send the refund; after that it is your bank that decides when it appears on your statement. Some cards show it quickly, others take longer, and a card that has since expired or been replaced can add steps. We are not going to promise you a number of days for something that is not ours to control. What we can do is confirm that the refund was issued, so if your statement is worrying you, phone 04 321 8882 and we will tell you exactly what was sent from our side.

How do I avoid needing to call at all?

Most change-of-mind calls come from three small things, and all three are far easier to catch before you pay than after:

  • The cart. Read it once before checkout. If you were half-thinking of adding one more thing — extra sangak, torshi, a second bowl — remember delivery is free over AED 300, so it is worth adding before you pay rather than placing a second order five minutes later.
  • The area and the pin. Delivery needs both: the Dubai area you choose sets the delivery charge, and the pin you drop on the map tells the rider your exact door. A pin left on the wrong tower is the most common reason a rider ends up phoning twice.
  • Your phone number. Check the digits before you pay. The rider calls you on arrival, so a wrong number is the single mistake that turns a smooth delivery into a search party.

And if you are ordering for a particular hour rather than for right now, use a scheduled order — you can pick a time up to about two days ahead, which is the calmest way to plan a dawn breakfast for guests, since the kitchen never closes anyway. If you would like the whole flow explained before you start, our step-by-step ordering guide and the page on paying online safely cover the parts this article does not.

The short version

No cancel button, no edit button, no account to log into: one phone number, 04 321 8882, answered around the clock. Call fast and most things are fixable; call late and the honest answer may be that your food is already on its way to you. And if we are the ones who cannot deliver, you will be told why on your order page and refunded to your card without having to ask. When you are ready, the pots are on — start your order here.
